CALL TO AUDITION: A Chorus Line

Yes you heard it right--Cabaret Theatre will be doing A Chorus Line this season! Directed by the lovely Shayna Carney, this will be our first musical of the season, and this show requires a HUGE cast. So whether you are a seasoned performer or you have never set foot on the stage before, we want to see everyone come out and audition for this extremely relatable show!

ABOUT THE SHOW:
A Chorus Line takes the audience on an emotional journey through the Broadway audition process as a group of potential dancers and performers are put through a vigorous series of dance numbers. After the initial cut, the director, Zach, makes each auditionee tell their personal story of how they came to be in show business, and what are their hopes, and inspirations. As each character's story unwinds, the audience is able to identify with each performer and why they have endured a life filled with rejection, injury, pain and heartache to be involved in the "glamorous" world of the musical theatre.

Cabaret Theatre Presents: GRACE

Fall is slowly coming to a close, and so is this semester. We all know that you've been working really hard, and in the words of Tom Haverford, you need to treat yo'self...to a night of theatre! It's time four our second main stage production of the season! Come wrap up the semester with us as we present a modern thriller guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat!

GRACE is a tragicomedy that explores human assumptions about how God, goodness, faith and causality operate in the cosmic machinery. Steve and Sara have relocated to Sunrise, Florida to pursue an unbelievably wonderful business deal, but as the deal slowly unravels and Steve finds himself afflicted with an itch that just won’t stop, Sara finds herself increasingly drawn to their next-door neighbor, Sam, a badly-scarred victim of a recent car accident who wants nothing to do with her or her Bible-quoting husband. In the end, with a little help from an old German exterminator who's still angry about the Allied bombing of Hamburg in World War II, all three characters are confronted by a world that's both better and worse than any religion can justify.

SHOW DATES:
Thursday, December 3rd at 9:00pm
